Our services are divided broadly into the following categories:
Finance/Human Resources Coordination
Flexible Benefits & Cafeteria Plans
Within each category, our aim is to provide complete support throughout the diverse functions related to our clients' employee benefit programs. While all of these services may not be pertinent to all plans on a day-to-day basis, we intend to make available an array of services which will accommodate both present and future needs.
In general, our services are intended to facilitate the delivery of employee benefits from organization to employees. We also view our role as that of an intermediary between clients and those outside organizations with which they do business relative to their benefits plans. We take responsibility to coordinate benefit programs at all levels.
At
Bluff Head Enterprises, we believe that one of the most
important functions is to facilitate dialogue and communication
between Finance and Human Resources management functions.
We firmly believe that the best decisions about employee
benefits are made in a collaborative environment where both
Finance and Human Resources are well represented.
We assist clients with:
Aside
from the financial pressure on today's benefit plans, most
companies also find that delivery of health and welfare benefits
involves considerable administrative responsibility. Our
objective in this area is to minimize and manage this burden,
assisting our clients with the day-to-day functional elements of
their plans.
Our services in this area include:
We
help our clients design and maintain their flexible benefit
plans. Whether a client is looking for a detailed full
flex plan replete with flexible spending accounts, credit based
pricing and numerous flex benefit options, or just a simple
premium only plan to take advantage of IRC Section 125 to
leverage tax savings for their employees and themselves, we can
help. Flexible benefit plans are in some ways the last
"win-win" available in benefits today. We recommend that
all clients consider utilizing flex at some point.
We work extensively with flex plans and can help clients design, communicate, enroll and administer their plan, including:
We
are firmly committed to employee communication. We feel
that it is critical for employers to advocate a partnership with
their employees in order to control rising health care costs and
we believe that this can only be accomplished through a
commitment to employee communication. We also believe that
as new and creative solutions to rising health care costs are
introduced, the employee communication burden on employers will
increase.
We offer the following services in this area:
We
can perform a marketing of any aspect of your benefit program
including:
One of the most important advantages BHE brings to this process is our complete impartiality. We do not bundle our business nor do we currently receive override commissions from vendors. Our clients can rely on the fact that any recommendation we make will be based 100% on what we believe to be in their best interests, not ours.
As
your benefits consultant, we interact with a client's legal
counsel and help to minimize legal costs by providing assistance
with many basic legal compliance requirements. We assist
clients in complying with all federal and state laws including,
but not limited to:
One
way clients can add to their benefit package with little or no
additional cost to the company is through voluntary benefits.
Clients provide a payroll deduction service, administrative
effort and a platform for communication, but do not contribute to the actual cost of the benefits.
Aside from enhancing overall benefits, we seek to minimize the client's administrative involvement and maximize employees' return on investment. We help to match programs that fit easily into our clients' existing HRIS and payroll platforms. We also seek out those options which return a high percentage of the premiums paid by employees in the form of benefits paid versus those which do not.
Some examples of voluntary benefits include:
A solid portfolio of voluntary benefits can be a powerful addition to your overall compensation and benefits package. These plans can leverage a company's group size to obtain attractive rates while the convenience of payroll deduction is a plus for employees.

At BHE, we have a standard practice to refuse any form of supplemental compensation from vendors. We report all compensation to our clients annually, semi-annually, quarterly or monthly on a cash basis. We aggressively and exclusively represent our client's interests, not the vendor's.
At BHE we bring large-firm expertise at a reasonable cost to our clients. Our clients are highly valued on a personal level and we have an intimate knowledge of their needs. We provide a stable and consistent service relationship and serve as a strategic partner to help our clients meet their short-term and long-term goals.
