Bluff Head Enterprises' primary endeavor is to provide employee benefit consulting services on a direct and personal level.  We serve as an integral component of each client's staff, acting as a resource in the benefits area.

Our services are most valuable to the mid-sized corporation where skyrocketing benefits' costs pose a significant financial and human resources issue.  For many employers of this size, internal resources and technical expertise are often limited due to the responsibility for a wide variety of personnel and operational functions.  

Many mid-sized companies recognize that the typical brokerage firms have relatively low costs, but are often too simplistic and do not have the experience to provide all the support required for mid-sized companies.  Conversely, the large HR consulting firms may deliver a high level of service and knowledge, but are often too costly.  Both of these approaches fail to meet the needs of most mid-sized employers.  Bluff Head Enterprises has the resources, knowledge and experience to provide companies with guidance that give them the best of both worlds.

Our mission is to serve each client's employee benefits needs as a member of their team, providing expertise on an "on call" basis, helping to develop and implement a long-range plan, and assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of their benefits plans.

How did we get our name?

Bluff Head Enterprises is a family owned and operated business established in 1992 and originally based at the Slade family homestead - Bluff Head Farm in Guilford, Connecticut.  The name of our farm and our firm comes from the mountain overlooking the property.  In 1993, the offices of Bluff Head Enterprises moved to West Kingston, Rhode Island.  Due to expansion, in September of 1998 we relocated to Wakefield, Rhode Island.
